Dr Mousa will be sharing how he is building the clean energy utility of the future in New Jersey, at the Energy Networks Innovation Conference and networking event.
His keynote will cover some of the hottest topics in the energy system transition, including:
- How digitalisation is underpinning the transition to Distributed Energy Resources
- Greening the gas networks at PSEG
- Supporting disadvantaged people as we decarbonise energy and transport

Ahmed Mousa leads PSE&G’s first Utility of the future group, which has involved many initiatives including creating the Utility of the Future strategy, project managing the Clean Energy Future programs ($4.1B), vehicle 2 grid/home (V2G/V2H), the intelligent touchless substation project, machine learning and artificial intelligence projects, heat pumps, renewable natural gas (RNG) and hydrogen.
Ahmed is also a board member of the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA) Research Advisory Council, New Jersey Association of Energy Engineers (NJAEE), Pace University Cyber Security, Rutgers University Cyber Security and the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
His background includes distribution engineering, project management and systems operations with Con Edison and asset management with PSE&G.
He has a Ph.D. in Global Energy Policy from Euclid University and a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering from Stony Brook University.
