The role of the DSO as Neutral Market Facilitator

Rebecca will be leading a Deep Dive roundtable discussion on Wednesday 13 October, looking at pressing issues for our energy networks, such as:

  • What capabilities will the DSO of the future need to develop to facilitate market functions? How does this compare with current DNO obligations?
  • What are the most significant regulatory barriers to wide-scale adoption of DSO-level markets? Technological barriers? Commercial barriers?
  • What are the hallmarks of neutral market facilitation? What technological barriers must be overcome?
  • What are the considerations in who should manage services at the DSO/ESO level?
