Case studies: What we have learnt from community energy/network collaborations, 14 October

Victoria will be sharing her experiences of working with SP Energy Networks on their RIIO-2 strategy in our Community Energy Forum on the 14th.

Speaker profile

Victoria is responsible for Community Energy Scotland’s ‘Community Energy Futures’ programme, which educates community groups across Scotland about the changes that are coming in the UK energy system and provides support for them to develop specific energy-related project ideas in their local communities. She is passionate about community-based action and believes the ability to manage and control energy locally is crucial to the growth of renewable energy and reducing our dependence on fossil fuels.

Victoria has extensive experience in the third sector supporting and advocating for communities in areas of high fuel poverty and has worked on a range of low carbon heat projects specialising in geothermal, and water/ground source heat resource analysis. She is keen to see real progress being made to meet the very challenging heat decarbonisation targets that have been set in the coming years.
